Admission requirements and application (for non-Dutch students )
For admission to the Master's programme, students from abroad require a Bachelor of Theology or Master of Divinity degree which meets international standards. Proficiency in written and spoken English is an absolute requirement. This will be determined on the basis of a score of 550 or above (213 or above in the computer version) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or an equivalent score in another accepted language test.

Your application should include the following:
- A letter of motivation in which you indicate why you wish to enrol in the programme.
- A copy of a paper written at the end of your theological training at Bachelor's level, if possible in English or with a summary in English.
- A research proposal demonstrating sufficient consistency, originality and academic ability.
- A curriculum vitae including photocopies of your qualifications and academic degree(s).
- A letter of recommendation from your home institute.
- (For non-native English speakers) A certificate of proficiency in English (TOEFL or an equivalent English language test).
- For administrative and insurance purposes, you should also include photocopies of your passport or identity card and a medical certificate of good health.
For Dutch students
Voor de Engelstalige masteropleiding Theology & Religious Studies is voldoende beheersing van de Engelse taal vereist: TOEFL 550 = 213 in de computerversie, of een IELTS gemiddelde van 6.0, minimum score voor schrijven: 5.5, een gelijke score voor een vergelijkbare taaltoets of een eindexamen van een Nederlands VWO.
Directe instroom
Heb je één van de onderstaande WO-opleidingen afgerond, dan kun je drempelloos instromen in de masterspecialisatie Living Reformed Theology:
- WO-BA Theologie alle trajecten
- Doctoraal Godgeleerdheid/Theologie
Premaster
Voldoe je niet aan de toelatingseisen dan kun je in met bepaalde vooropleidingen een premasterprogramma volgen om toch te worden toegelaten tot deze master.
Verkorte bachelor Theologie
Heb je een andere WO- of HBO-bachelor afgerond, dan kun je na het volgen van de verkorte opleiding Theologie, traject Algemene Godgeleerdheid met een omvang van 120 EC instromen in de masterspecialisatie Living Reformed Theology.
