Director: Mr. Frans A.M. Snijders
Frans Snijders (1956) started as the director of VU Amsterdam’s International Office in 2013, following a career at the School of Business and Economics at VU Amsterdam, Leiden University and the Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI). Frans is especially interested in the challenges posed by the international composition of the classroom. Whereas international and cultural diversity too often lead to conflicts and disagreements, it is at the same time the ultimate inspiration and enabler of progress. Education, research and the social impact of VU Amsterdam all benefit from this progress.
