Higher Education

Knowledge development is a key element for global development. Higher education - universities in particular - have an important role in existing and new worldwide networks, where knowledge is co-created and developed in partnership. Knowledge is universal, but also contextualized to make it truly relevant and meaningful, addressing specific needs and conditions of the country or region.

The process of knowledge development is not a quick-win, but demands long-term commitment and thinking. Enhanced capacity development in education and research is desirable and profitable for all partners involved. At the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam we have been cooperating with universities worldwide for over 40 years in improving education, offering training, fostering and enhancing research, assisting with management development and linking these with the needs and goals of society.
