Critical and interdisciplinary perspectives on transnational law

Transnational Legal Studies

The staff of the department of Transnational Legal Studies engage in research and teaching in the fields of public international law, EU law, and the law concerning the internet and technology. The department stands out for its innovative, critical and interdisciplinary perspectives, and the wide range of interests that it includes.

The department consists of around 30 core members of staff, to which are added visiting researchers and guests, and external PhD researchers. Staff are organized into three sub-departments, Public International Law, headed by Prof. dr. W. Werner, Internet Law, headed by Prof. mr. A. Lodder, and European Law, headed by Prof. dr. G. Davies. Head of department is prof. dr. G.N. Cornelisse.
