Our research focus is on the systems aspects of security: low level, close to the hardware.
We develop new techniques to analyse software and hardware and find the fundamental reasons why they are vulnerable, to test for the vulnerabilities, and to fix them. From compiler techniques to binary analysis, from applications to operating systems, and from software issues to hardware vulnerabilities, VUSec covers systems security in the broadest sense with the aim of high impact work for both the research community and society at large.
