The School of Religion and Theology advances and enriches understanding of theology and religion, fostering shared values and a common language. Through our education and research, we equip students and professionals to make a meaningful impact within their communities and in wider society.
The School is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSH). Across the social sciences, humanities, and even other academic fields, there is a growing recognition of the importance of worldview in both research and education. Worldviews play a crucial role in addressing many social and ethical issues. Our interdisciplinary approach enables us to forge meaningful connections and translate shared knowledge into practice. We are committed to developing, disseminating and applying scientific knowledge. We also want to be a reliable beacon in both the scientific and social debate. A large part of the research within the School is characterised by an interdisciplinary approach in which researchers share their knowledge and insights and thus strengthen their education and research projects.
