Togetherness in Geuzenveld-Slotermeer

Geuzenveld-Slotermeer is one of the two neighborhoods where we are doing the SamenWelZijn project. Together with residents, resident initiatives, care, welfare and municipal professionals, we are finding out how well-being in the neighborhood can be strengthened in connection, and what is needed to be a caring and involved neighborhood together.

A warm involved neighborhood is important for everyone's well-being! But how exactly and what can residents (initiatives) and professionals do for each other and help each other? How can residents (initiatives) and professionals together shape a 'warm' and caring Geuzenveld-Slotermeer? And what does that mean for the roles everyone takes in the neighborhood?

We address these questions with residents and professionals in a series of work sessions.

We work in two phases:

  • In the first phase we explore with residents and professionals what the strengths of the neighborhood are and how residents and professionals together can strengthen these strengths.
  • In a second phase (fall 2025) we zoom in on what that means for strengthening well-being in the neighborhood.

In February 2025 we started with the first phase in Geuzenveld-Slotermeer and organized a first working session on this in Geuzenveld (in the Pluspunt) and in Slotermeer (in the Honingraat).

Off to a great start in Geuzenveld-Slotermeer!

Work session #1 on February 13, 2025: Together for a caring Geuzenveld and Slotermeer

During the workshops in Geuzenveld in the Pluspunt and in Slotermeer in the Honingraat, we worked creatively to bring together experiences around the strengths and values of the neighborhood and how these can be strengthened. A live artist drew the outcomes of the conversations on two posters. Read the report of the meeting here [in Dutch].
