Having studied psychology and criminology at Leiden and at the VU University, Sytske Besemer travelled to Cambridge for doctoral studies. As a PhD student, she will study the transfer of aggression from parents to children at the Institute of Criminology of the University of Cambridge. For this, she received grants from the VSBfonds, the Prins Bernhard Culture Fund, and a Gates Scholarship.
Talented students of all disciplines studying for a BA or MA can be considered for the Prins Bernard Culture Funds grant. These are indended for a continuing period of education or research abroad with a minimum duration of three months. The Funds aims to help recipients reach their future goals.
