Want to spar with someone about your teaching, are you working on (re)designing your courses, or do you have a question about your teaching practice? The VU Center for Teaching & Learning offers coaching on the job for all your teaching questions.
Who is it for?
All teaching staff employed by VU Amsterdam.
Duration and commitment
Coaching on the job is a short-term programme lasting up to three hours, and no fee is charged to your faculty or department. So you can simply sign up on your own.
Content
The coaching may, for example, consist of discussions with a trainer from the VU Center for Teaching & Learning, observing your lecture or seminar, or collaborating on the design of an assessment or course. In addition, we can also provide input on issues at the programme level (curriculum revisions, learning pathways, AI, etc.). The specifics, of course, depend on your coaching request.
Sign up
When you sign up, we’ll assess whether your request is suitable for a short coaching session and find a suitable coach for you. If your request is too extensive for coaching on the job, we’ll be happy to help you find other appropriate support.
