All supervisors of PhD candidates working at VU Amsterdam are obliged to follow the basic training course Supervising PhD candidates. This also applies to experienced supervisors, unless they receive permission from the dean to follow a customised trajectory. In the flowchart Training for supervisors of PhD candidates, you will find more information on which training is the best match.
* The training courses Annual consultations and Recognizing social safety can also be followed in team format. You do not register via the LMS for these, but you can contact VU Learning & Development at learning_and_development@vu.nl.
