SustainaBul
SustainaBul is the annual ranking of Dutch higher education institutions organized by Studenten voor Morgen. Participating institutions are assessed by means of a questionnaire divided into the themes of sustainability in research, education, business operations and best practices. VU scored the full amount of points for research and best practices.
Best practice VU
In addition, the Sustainability Course Inventory was selected for the top 5 best practices from the 80 projects submitted. The course inventory shows which sustainable courses VU Amsterdam offers on the basis of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This project is carried out together with the Green Office VU. Sustainability at VU Amsterdam
The fact that VU once again scored high shows that sustainability is increasingly part of the core of VU Amsterdam. This is only possible because we take up sustainability as a VU community. For example, the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute connects scientists from across VU Amsterdam, the Sustainability Leadership Hub helps lecturers integrate sustainability into education and the VU Green Office is the sustainability platform for students. Cooperation and impact are the power behind fulfilling the ambitions of the strategic VU priority area Sustainability. Yet we also see that there are still big steps to be taken.
