We offer a variety of course packages in different faculties as well as the option mix and match courses from different packages. You may also choose to add a Dutch elective course to your schedule. Our dedicated staff is here to help you throughout the course selection process. Please don't hesitate to contact us by e-mail with any questions you may have about the course selection process at [email protected].
We offer course packages in five different fields of study:
- Computer Science
- Biomedical Science
- Social Sciences
- Business and Economics
Students may choose from any of the courses listed in each packet; however, we do not recommend taking more than 6 ECTS per period. Students must take a minimum of 12 ECTS and a maximum of 24 ECTS per semester. Most courses occur only in one period, but it can happen that a course will occur in two periods. If you have a course which occurs in two periods, this means the course is spread out and you will thus likely meet less times per week than other courses.
You can find all of the courses available to Gap Year students via these lists. When choosing courses, please make sure you refer only to the courses found via these links. Other courses found via the regular VU Amsterdam Study Guide are not available to be taken as part of the VU Amsterdam Gap Year Experience.
All listed courses are planned for the upcoming Fall 2020 semester. Courses for the Spring 2020 semester will be published next month.
