Arrival day
The arrival day is on Saturday 11 January 2020. To make sure you get settled in easily during your first day in Amsterdam, we offer Airport to Accommodation Shuttle Service from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. We host an informal welcome event in the evening. If you have arranged your own housing, you are of course very welcome to join.
The airport pick-up service is arranged from 9am to 3pm and will bring you to your accommodation. Here you will receive your room key (check-in from 3pm, you can leave your luggage with us) and a goodie bag with information package. At the welcome event in the evening you can meet your fellow students. Here we'll explain how to get to the university on Monday morning. Sunday is a free day to explore Amsterdam or other parts of the country.
First and last day of class
On the first Monday of your course we start the day with a campus tour, to explain the university facilities and to guide you to the right classroom. The last day of your course we meet again when the last classes have ended, to celebrate your participation and to say goodbye in a festive way.
Optional social programme activities
- Saturday 11 January: join us for an informal welcome event in the evening.
- Wednesday 15 January: during this paid for activity (€20) you will experience Amsterdam Light Festival during a beautiful canal cruise. Artists from all over the world create impressive light artworks which you can view from the water. It truly is an amazing experience both for locals and visitors. Unfortunately it is not possible to register for the canal cruise as we have reached the maximum capacity.
