US National Science Foundation (NSF) / National Institutes of Health (NIH)
The NSF and NIH grant programmes offer limited possibilities for collaborating with non-American partners. In most cases, the American partner is the chief applicant.
National Science Foundation (NSF)
The Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) of the NSF is the central body for international research activities both in and outside the NSF. OISE coordinates specific programmes for international cooperation and encourages international collaboration within the other NSF programmes. The OISE website includes current funding opportunities and information on contact persons for each country.
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
The NIH programmes also present opportunities for international collaboration in many cases. You can find more information about the available options and conditions with which you must comply on the Foreign Grants Information.
Support in making applications to NIH and NSF
