Olivier Goletti
Postdoc computing education

Olivier Goletti is a computing education researcher from Belgium.

Olivier Goletti is a computing education researcher from Belgium.

He is a postdoc at VU and HvA working on the integration of Computational Thinking in pre-service teacher education. He is building a training for teacher educators based on the results of previous research projects. With Prof. Sharon Calor, they will iterate on co-creating small training modules tailored to secondary school teachers educators' needs using a design-based iterative approach.

He finished his Ph.D.  at UCLouvain in February 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Kim Mens and Prof. Felienne Hermans. For six years, he observed and analysed the teaching practice of undergraduate teaching assistants in an introductory programming course at University. His research involved both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Before that he worked for three years coordinating a group of CS and education professors from colleges and universities when working on the promotion of CS in schools. During the same 2016-19 period, he also intervened in multiple school teacher trainings and co-creation of teaching material integrating computing with secondary school disciplines.
