Every programme of the School of Social Sciences (SSC) has its own programme committee (OLC). The OLC is a participation body that advises on the quality of education.

The Programme Committee (OLC) is a participation body and its statutory task is to advise on safeguarding and improving the quality of education. At SSC, every bachelor's and master's programme has an OLC. Here, students and teachers consult with each other about the quality of the organization and content of the education and give advice (solicited and unsolicited). Examples of this are the design of the curricula, the educational programme and the quality control of the course evaluations. The programme committees actively contribute to educational innovation and improvement by putting topics on the agenda themselves. These can be subjects that apply specifically to the study programme for which the programme committee is set up, but also subjects that go beyond study programmes. In addition, the programme committee responds to wishes or complaints from students. Each degree programme committee has the right of consent to the programme-specific parts of the Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER).

Tasks of the Programme Committee

  • Advising (solicited and unsolicited) on the quality of the assurance and improvement of education
  • Annual right of consent to the programme-specific parts of the Education and Examination Regulations (OER)
  • Actively contribute to educational improvement and educational innovation
