Requesting facilities

Register disability
Last updated on 28 October 2025
Do you need a facility due to a disability? Then read on how to apply for it.

Applying for a facility is done in two steps:

Step 1: Register your disability.

During your registration in Studielink, you can indicate whether you have a disability. You can also indicate which facilities you need. Upload a recent medical declaration issued by a BIG-accredited healthcare provider or GZ-psychologist.

If you did not register your disability while enrolling, you can do so later.

Step 2. Make an appointment with your faculty's study advisor.

Discuss your support request with your study advisor. Together with the study advisor, you will examine what you need to successfully complete your studies. The student advisor will let you know what is or is not possible. You will be notified by e-mail whether your provision has been granted.

Please note:

  • Make sure you submit your request no later than three weeks before the start of the examination period (this applies to step 1 and step 2). The application must first be officially approved. Regularly check the status of your application in your student dashboard. This way, you will know where you stand in time.
  • Have you requested extra time and uploaded a dyslexia declaration or ADHD declaration? Then an appointment with the student advisor is not necessary.
  • Check in your student dashboard whether your facility has been granted. If your status is still 'requested' after 2 weeks, contact your student advisor.
