Do you want to know what requirements you need to meet to obtain your diploma? Whether there is a transitional arrangement? Or how the education and examinations of your study programme are arranged?

Every year, Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER) are established for all Bachelor's and Master's programmes, consisting of both faculty and programme-specific regulations. In some cases, there is also a transitional arrangement. In the TER, you will find the assessment criteria and requirements that you must meet in order to obtain your diploma. You can also read how your study programme is structured to achieve the educational objectives and how the education and examinations are organised. The TER of your study programme can be found in the Study Guide.

Please also read the Student Charter of VU Amsterdam. It describes the rights and obligations of students on the one hand and of VU Amsterdam on the other, arising from legal and university regulations.

Alterations and transitional arrangements per faculty

Study programmes may undergo changes. Below you can see per faculty which changes have been implemented and whether there is a transitional arrangement or not.

In the academic year 2026-2027 a number of changes will take place in the various bachelor and master programmes of the School of Social Sciences (SSC). Below you can see for each programme whether there are changes for you and if there are any transitional arrangements. If you have any questions, please contact the SSC academic advisors.
