Minor Biomedical Topics in Health Care

Here you will find all descriptions of courses in the minor. Please go to www.minor.vu.nl/en/ for more information about the contents of the minor programme.

The central question within the minor “Biomedical Topics in Health Care”
is: How does biomedical knowledge support public health related
solutions? The courses follow the development of medical interventions
from basic science to the integration into routine clinical practice
(“from Cell to Society”). Some courses focus more on the biomedical
mechanisms, whereas other courses focus more on public health aspects
(prevention, diagnostics, care and treatment).
The minor BTHC is coordinated by Lidewij Henneman
