Master Business Administration - Specialization Transport and Supply Chain Management

The Transport and Supply Chain Management programme focuses on the
analysis of supply chains and transport networks, including the
management of transport and stock in global networks and defining
strategies for managing these networks. The programme furthermore
focuses on policy aspects of managing supply chains and transport
networks, including the impact of government regulation on transport
networks. The Transport and Supply Chain Management programme aims to
prepare students for a professional career in managing supply chains or
transport networks. The course work is therefore strongly focused on
quantitative data analysis and optimization of real-world problems using
tools commonly used in the logistics industry, including Excel and R.

Throughout the Transport and Supply Chain Management programme, course
work consists of understanding and applying leading concepts and methods
to challenging problems from the academic literature and practice. The
mandatory courses ensure that students are technically proficient in the
areas of data analytics, quantitative support for supply chain decision-
making, transport economics and management, and in statistical analyses
to support policy makers. The electives allow students to deepen their
knowledge in specific areas in line with their interests, including for
example optimization, performance benchmarking, geographical information
analysis, airline operations analysis or analysis of network structures.

This specialization contains obligatory and elective courses.
