Cancelled: Community Service Learning course design workshop 15 February 2024 12:00 - 14:00

In this course design workshop, VU lecturers will be inspired and supported on integrating Community Service Learning (CSL) in their education. In collaboration with the VU CSL team, you will (re)design CSL activities that match your course's learning goals.

Community Service Learning (CSL) is an innovative form of education that connects VU students with societal actors to collaborate on real-world challenges. CSL can be modified to most courses with a practice-related component. You, as a lecturer, do not have to reinvent the wheel; the VU CSL team provides full support.

During this workshop we will explore how a Community Service Learning approach can applied to best accommodate for the learning objectives of your course. We will discuss the different formats and possibilities within CSL, and review your current course activities. The VU CSL team will assist you in matching these possibilities to needs and issues expressed by societal actors, such as local organisations, policy makers and citizens initiatives.

The next workshops are scheduled for February 15 and May 28, 2024. This workshop has been cancelled due to the education day.
