Without language, there is no communication

When you successfully complete the Master's programme in Linguistics, you will have analytical and research skills in the area of language and language systems. In addition to these common skills, you will possess specific skills for your specialisation.

If you complete the Language Description and Comparative Linguistics specialisation, you will be in an excellent position to conduct research and make language descriptions of previously undescribed languages. You can work, for instance, as a consultant or researcher in the domains of language consultancy, linguistic documentation or (Bible) translation.

When you graduate with the Text Mining specialisation, you will have the right combination of knowledge of language and artificial intelligence. This enables you to extract information from large amounts of text. You will also know how to program, and will therefore immediately be employable as a data analyst.

What can you do after your Master's degree?
