Are you ready to supercharge your data problem-solving skills in economics and finance using Python?
This course has been specifically designed to help participants learn the fundamentals of Python programming and simultaneously acquire the basics of data analysis in Python over the course of two full days at VU Campus. It is a practical and hands-on course focused on active participation and learning.
To facilitate individual learning, the course is offered in a small setting with plenty of personal attention throughout the two days.

Aim of training
The primary objective is to introduce participants to some of the most commonly used Python tools in data analysis. To be precise, we will make use of Jupyter Notebooks in combination with packages widely used in data science and statistical applications such as NumPy, Pandas and Matplotlib.
Duration of the training
The training takes place during two consecutive days (Thursday and Friday).
For whom is this course?
The course is designed for beginners with little or no prior programming experience. A strong personal interest in economics and finance, some knowledge of introductory statistics (such as linear regression), and motivation to learn programming are required. The course is fully interactive, and participants will need to tackle programming problems hands-on throughout the two days.
What is required from participants?
Participants are required to bring their own laptop with the ability to connect to wireless networks. There is no need to install anything on your laptop.

This course is taught in person at VU Campus in Amsterdam.
How much does it cost?
The fee is €1,000 per person for both days, including course materials, lunch and refreshments.
