Our MBA in International Business is designed for professionals with at least three years of work experience who are ready to grow beyond their current role. Whether you are stepping up from a specialist to a leadership position, changing careers, or looking to accelerate your impact, this programme equips you with the strategic fluency and entrepreneurial mindset to lead with confidence in today’s complex, global environment.

Over 18 months, in a flexible, part-time format, you will gain practical, cross-disciplinary knowledge grounded in real-world business challenges while developing the human insight, cultural agility, and systems thinking required to lead with clarity and conscience.



Admission Requirements

We welcome applicants who bring depth of experience, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to grow.

A Bachelor's degree from a university or university of applied sciences

  • At least three years of work experience
  • English language proficiency

  • When does the programme start?

    The next cohort begins in September 2026. We offer a single start date annually.

  • What is the tuition fee, and what kind of financial support is available?

    The tuition fee for the MBA in International Business is €35,000.

    We offer a range of tuition reduction options through our Financial Support Programme to help make the programme accessible to professionals from diverse backgrounds. This includes:
    • A 10% Lifelong Learning Reduction for all VU alumni
    • Additional tuition assistance based on merit, need, or impact potential

    In addition, a small number of selective recognition awards may be offered to exceptional candidates who demonstrate outstanding leadership or purpose-driven vision.

    All financial support is reviewed individually and awarded with care and transparency during the admissions process.

  • Is the VU MBA internationally recognized?

    Absolutely. VU's School of Business and Economics holds both AACSB and EQUIS accreditations, placing it among the top 1% of business schools worldwide. Your MBA will carry global credibility and open doors across borders.

  • Can I apply for this MBA without a GMAT or business degree?

    Yes, you can. A GMAT is not required for admission to the MBA in International Business at VU Amsterdam.

    You also do not need a business degree to apply. The programme is designed for professionals from a wide range of backgrounds—including engineering, healthcare, law, the arts, and more. We provide a strong foundation in core business disciplines while creating a learning environment that values and draws upon the unique perspectives of every student, transforming diverse professional experiences into shared insight, and building a classroom where the whole truly becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
