Translate your ideas about education into practice

NEXT (Next-level Educational Design & Training)

Teaching becomes even more fun when your course is well put together and your teaching materials are carefully designed. Would you like to use evaluation results to further develop your teaching, but are you still looking for how to make that translation? Or do you already have concrete suggestions for improvement and are wondering how to create support for them among your colleagues?

We will consider these questions during NEXT: Next-level Educational design & Training.

Once you have obtained your UTQ (BKO), you will be a demonstrably (entry-level) competent educational professional who continues to develop in practice. You will recognise the gaps between educational theory and your educational practice and be increasingly aware of what works well for you and your students. NEXT supports you to translate your ideas about education into practice.

This can be done, for instance, by supervising

  • Developing or further developing teaching materials
  • Designing instructions
  • Facilitating student-student interactions
  • Setting up (formative) assessment
  • Setting up Canvas and much more!

What does this course offer you?
NEXT is the course in which you take the next step in educational design at course level. Upon completion of this course, you will know exactly how to translate your ideas - for students and colleagues - into practice, and you will have all the necessary materials for this ready to go!

24 March, 21 April and 19 May 2026.
