Duration and investment
The training consists of two three-and-a-half-hour sessions on two different dates.

Dates and times
In 2026-2027, this programme will be offered twice:

UTQ PhD Start to Supervise (first group)

Dates:

  • 7 October 2026 from 9:30 - 12:30.
  • 21 October 2026 from 9:30 - 12:30.

UTQ PhD Start to Supervise (second group)
Dates:

  • 31 March 2027 from 9:30 - 12:30.
  • 14 April 2027 from 9:30 - 12:30.

Costs (2026/2027)
Only PhDs employed at VU Amsterdam can participate in the programme. Most of the programme cost is covered through internal quality funds. However, PhDs must obtain approval from their supervisor or manager to enrol in the course. An administration fee of €90 per candidate will be charged, to be paid by the faculty.
