The UTQ-flex is offered modularly and in a mix of online self-study (individual and with peers) and (online) meetings.

Via various online mini-modules, you get to know the educational design principle of 'constructive alignment'. You then apply this principle to an analysis of a course and identify possible areas for improvement (e.g. in the learning objectives, in the assessment or in the learning activities). Finally, you get the chance to (re)design a piece of your own course.
You can apply for each module. Upon successful completion of each module, you can apply for a partial certificate; upon successful completion of all three modules and the successfully assessed final interview with your teacher trainer and a second assessor from your department, you will receive a full UTQ certificate from VU Amsterdam.
You will be supervised throughout the course by a teacher trainer from the VU Centre for Teaching and Learning.
