Do you want to apply for the MA Archaeology but you don’t meet the entry requirements? Then this pre-master's programme Archaeology might be something for you! If you do not meet the entry requirements for the Master’s degree Archaeology, for example if you have an academic bachelor’s degree in a different discipline, the pre-master's Archaeology offers a bridging programme to help you bring your knowledge and skills to the required level.
The pre-master’s programme grants access to the Master's Archaeology. The admissions committee will determine whether you are eligible for the programme. The programme is taught in English.
The standard programme of the pre-master's Archaeology consists of 5 courses of 6 ec (i.e. 30 ec in total). In addition, Dutch HBO-students will have to take a course on Academic Skills of 12 ec. The admissions committee, however, will assess your prior education and may determine an alternative programme, tailored to the specific knowledge and skills you acquired in your prior education.
The pre-master Archaeology is a joint programme offered by VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
